On arrival at the International Airport you will clear immigration, get your bags, go through the customs scan of your bags and then exit into the Arrival lobby.

There will two be two sliding doors to choose from when you exit and the tourist information desk is in the middle of the arrival hall, this is where the driver will greet you. Look for a sign with your name on it.

It is about 1 hour driving to the Hotel. Check in and relax after your long flight.

Today your driver/guide will be at the Hotel at 9:00 a.m., to start with the City tour you visit the Miraflores Locks (Panama Canal) and Casco Viejo (the colonial section of Panama City).

After the city tour you will be dropped off at your accommodation. If you prefer to stay in Casco Viejo just tell your driver, it is nice to stroll around this old part of town and watch the daily life or have a nice lunch. Later it will be easy for you to catch a taxi back home.

(If you do stay longer, please make sure to have the hotel address and directions with you as it is a very small bed and breakfast and not every taxi driver knows the way.)

Today we visit the Darien. Your English-speaking Guide is from the Darien he speaks English but as well Spanish and the Embera Language.

We leave early from Panama City at 6:00 am from the city by the Pan-American highway to Yaviza where the highway ends, from Yaviza we will go by Canoe (with motor boat). We go down the Chucunaque river for about two hours to EL Real Santamaria La Antigua town. This is an old small remaining Spanish town.

From here we will decide: do we go to The National Park, then we must use a horse to load our equipment, food and supplies. If we are going to the Embera community, a car will be able to drop at village all our equipment, food and supplies.

Today we are going to visit the Embera community.
We will have an explanation of their culture, their way of living, how they built their huts, how is the family life etc.

Then the Embera will be answer all your questions. There will also be a music presentation using ancient instruments as Bamboo flutes, drums made of deer or wild boar leathers etc.

After all these activities we will have a break around the afternoon. You are able to buy local crafts made by Embera (think of necklaces, mask, earing, carving wood). Spent some time with an Embera family and have fun together.

At night we can make a wood fire at the village and listen to Embera stories.

After breakfast we will say goodbye to the Embera and we will walk about 3 to 4 hours to Darién National Park. We walk into the mountain to Pirre Rangers station, where we will spent the night.

The Rangers station has basic facilities as stove, shower, toilet, beds, solar panel system, others nature attractions are Perresenico rivers and a nice waterfall. This is a nice way to refresh yourself after several hours walking.

In the afternoon we can walk on others trails looking for wildlife and take a lot of beautiful pictures.

We will explore the Darién National Park mountain on a trail to see some local animals, birds, etc.

We will be in the cloud forest all day long depending on how the kids’ condition is.

Today we have a long day of traveling ahead of us.

After breakfast, we pack our belongings and get ready for returning to the city.

First we have to walk (our belongings will be carries by a horse) to get to the road. From there we will take a car for about 10 kilometers to the El Real community, where we will again take a canoe up the Chucunaque river to Yaviza.

From there we take the car back to city. In the afternoon we will reach your hotel.

After breakfast a transfer is arranged for you to the car rental company.

We reserved a Hyundai Creta (Including EPD, EDD, DAT, CLP and drop off fee).

Your self-drive brings you today on the Pan-Americana  and you will drive to Pedasi; the Cultural Heart of Panama.

You can enjoy two free days to explore Pedasi.

Maybe you want to go horse riding, just relax at the beach or take a boat to tour to Isla Iguana.

If we can recommend: Isla Iguana is for sure a place you should visit a wildlife refuge with unique vegetation. As its name suggests, Isla Iguana is home to the Iguana but also home to many land and sea creatures. On the shore, visitors will be dazzled by the groups of colorful hermit crabs, lizards, iguanas and boa constrictors. However, beneath the surface of the area’s tranquil blue waters you can find animals such as sea turtles, whales and a wide variety of fish.

Today you leave the ocean and you visit El Valle has an almost perfect year-round spring climate and is home to a famous near-extinct Golden Frog and nature lover and bird watcher love to explore it.

Today you can enjoy a free day in El Valle de Anton.

Maybe you would like a hike up to the sleeping Indian Princess or visit the waterfalls or go to the original rustic Modder baths are interesting as well.

If you are interested in medical soap and supporting the local economy then you might like a visit to Alchemia Artisanal Soaps. Alchemia is such a lovely local lady and she started her own little soap making business.

Today you return to Panama City drop off your car and have a beautiful last evening.

Your Hotel is located in the old part of town and you can feel how lively this part of town is.
